Photo Memory Book

Record your life and memories in pictures, and can be saved in a digital format and stored online.

In this digital age, photograph albums have become things of the past, but they are still an ideal way to preserve your memories, and who says an album has to be on paper anyway.

The problem these days, is not the lack of photos, but the fact that we may have too many. Cameras, camera phones, cameras on MP3 players, cameras on keyrings. Sometimes pictures are just too easy to take.

So, in the context of a photo memory book, what should you save, and what should you throw away?

Have you got a picture of your house, your school or college, your place of work? Many people do not have. We go on holiday all over the world and have photographs of all sorts of exotic places, but forget the places near to home, or even our home itself.

Do you have a picture of your bedroom, your kitchen, your garden, your front door, your book-case? Thought not.

At this stage you are probably thinking, "Book case!"

A bookcase tells you a lot about a person. What books you have read that you thought were worth keeping. What books you thought you mought to read, and which you have put on the shelf for later, but which you have not and probably never will get round to reading!

We collect a lot of pictures of people, and of pretty views, but so many times we forget the ordinary things that we come face to face with every day. They are so familiar to us that we don't bother to take a picture, and then years later we wish we had done.

Some of the things that may seem ordinary too us now, may seem extra-ordinary later. As I type this I have a memory in my mind of a tin bath hanging from a nail in the wall of an outside coal shed, and the shed itself was right next to the outside toilet. During my childhood this was an ordinary scene, but now it would be extra-ordinary.

How many of the ordinary things of today will be looked back on with nostalgia in years to come?
